Thomas Jeanne (M.Sc.) began his university education in France and completed his studies with a master's degree in food microbiology from Université Laval. He was involved in winemaking research at the University of Bordeaux’s Faculty of Oenology from 2003 until he joined IRDA in 2006. He has a keen interest in research in the areas of microbial ecology, soil microbiology, and bioprocesses. He coordinates the Microbial Ecology Laboratory’s R&D activities and resulting services. Thomas utilizes the latest molecular biology techniques and the full range of bioinformatic tools available on the Linux platform. Mastery of these tools is essential for the interpretation and dissemination of high-throughput sequencing results.
