About

Laurence Jochems-Tanguay (M.Env.) obtained a bachelor's degree in ecology and a master's degree in environmental science from Université de Sherbrooke. While a student she completed a number of agricultural research internships at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in the areas of weed science and phytopathology. From 2014 to 2016 Laurence was employed as an agricultural technician at IRDA and was involved in researching weed control strategies for organic farmers. Laurence was appointed an IRDA research assistant in the summer of 2016 and has since worked on research projects in the fields of entomology, organic market garden horticulture, and emerging crops.
