About

Denis Potvin (agr.) earned a bachelor's degree in bio-agronomy with a concentration in soils from Université Laval in 1982. In the years that followed, he has worked on the conversion and recycling of biomass and fertilizing residual materials derived from various sources (agricultural, municipal, industrial) into soil amendments and fertilizers. His experience with various companies and research organizations has provided him with the expertise to head up projects on the development and implementation of alternatives to the disposal and treatment of organic waste, as well as the production and utilization of value-added organic products. In 2012, Denis was appointed IRDA’s biomass conversion project manager, in consideration of his experience with composting and the development and production of soil amendments and topsoils. He divides his time between technology transfer and technical projects, in addition to his involvement in business development.
