Valentin Joubert holds a bachelor's degree from École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier (ENSAM). Originally from the northeastern region of France, he spent more than a decade working on Île de La Réunion in the Indian Ocean. Valentin started at IRDA as an intern in 2007. He is now a research assistant in phytopathology specializing in apple production, and is also interested in fungi and other plant bacteria.
