About

Julie Mainguy is an agronomist and holds a degree in agronomy from Université Laval. She has worked at IRDA as a research assistant since 2007. Her responsibilities range from supporting researchers in developing and monitoring their research projects to coordinating field trials and supervising student staff. For example, she participates in the development of soil fertility and conservation protocols, as well as more specific projects aimed at optimizing nitrogen fertilization and reducing nitrate leaching in field crops, as well as in conventional or organic market gardening crops.
