Joël D’Astous-Pagé (M.Sc.) holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in molecular and cell biology from Université de Sherbrooke. His master’s project, conducted in collaboration with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, focused on identifying DNA polymorphisms (SNPs) in connection with pork quality characterization. Upon completing his studies, Joël joined IRDA as a research assistant, working primarily in the microbial ecology lab, which benefits from his knowledge of the latest molecular biologytechniques. He is currently pursuing a certificate in computer science at Université Laval with the goal of expanding the team's expertise in bioinformatic analysis and biostatistics.
