Gaetan Martinelli holds a master's degree in water sciences from Institut National d'Études Supérieures Agronomiques de Montpellier (SupAgro) in France, with a specialization in water and agriculture. He previously worked on the repurposing of agricultural organic compost and strategies for optimizing water management during times of drought.
After obtaining his master's degree in water sciences from Institut National de Recherche Scientifique in Québec City, he joined IRDA as an intern where he focuses on geomatics and hydrology, and a project that aims to reduce agriculture-related pollution. More recently, he has joined a soil health project that will study the relationship between organic matter and the physical properties of soils as they evolve under the future climate conditions of Québec and Ontario.
