La Terre de chez nous | A partnership to convert more municipal waste

IRDA’s SHOC innovation, a sanitization system using controlled oxidation, allows for the rapid drying of residual organic materials produced on farms. Thanks to Viridis, a company specializing in the recycling of fertilizing residual materials, SHOC has the potential to revolutionize the collection of compostable waste.

Viridis recently signed a partnership agreement with 16 cooperatives in the La Coop network with the goal of transforming more municipal organic waste into compost, providing low-cost fertilizer for farmers. The agreement will also help showcase the potential of IRDA’s SHOC process.
