On October 5, Institut de recherche et de développement en agroenvironnement (IRDA) and Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Perote in Mexico signed a five-year collaborative agreement to conduct joint R&D projects with the goal of repurposing organic residual materials to tap into their energy and fertilizing potential, as well as to produce animal feed inputs.
The two institutions began their collaboration five years ago and the initial results from the projects spurred the creation of this new academic and scientific cooperation plan. Also, in recent years, a number of Mexican master’s and Ph.D. interns and students have come to Québec to pursue graduate studies and work with IRDA’s R&D team.
