Annabelle Firlej

About

Annabelle Firlej has been the Assistant Director of Plant Protection since September 2021. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Organismal Biology, two Master's degrees and a Ph.D. in Biology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Ms. Firlej has been working in the field of entomology research for over 14 years. She started her career at IRDA 10 years ago as a research professional and became a researcher in entomology in 2017.  Her expertise in plant protection (entomology) within the apple, small fruit and vegetable sector gives her a definite advantage to lead the plant protection expertise pole within the IRDA.
